Infertility & The Holidays

Infertility & The Holidays

“This is a sponsored conversation from Mums the Word Network and The Stork OTC. All opinions are my own.”

Not so long ago, we were trying to have a baby. There were several Christmases where that was the only thing on our list. What my body wouldn’t allow appeared to be happening to everyone around me.

Our friends were picking out baby clothes and styling their family holiday photo shoots. Pregnancy seemed like the only gift my body was never going to let me open. The line between despair and jubilation is a thin one. Smiles and joy for our friends was real, but the question of “when will be our turn” was always on our minds.

Opening baby announcements so close to the holidays was the hardest. What was supposed to be a time of joy and celebrating was marked with another failed doctor’s appointment.

Pregnancy never did happen for us and our family was started by adoption. But I speak to a lot of women who are still struggling with infertility. Why? Because like any form of heartache, going through it can be a path you feel you are walking alone.

There are so many more products and advice now than ten years ago. Last night, I had the opportunity to join a Twitter chat about infertility and a new product called Stork OTC. You can look up the thread by searching the hashtags #gettingpregnant & #StorkOTC.

Stork OTC is an over the counter medical device that is now being sold at Target that is to help aid couples getting pregnant. You can find it in the family planning section of the store, next to the ovulation kits. It is currently priced at $59.99 and can be found at retailers and online at www.storkotc.com .

Infertility may put a damper on the holidays, but it doesn’t have to! If you are struggling with getting pregnant or know someone who is, consider Stork OTC.
